Wasps in the Compost

we have wasps in our compost. The wee holes in the bin which are meant to let the compost breathe are letting the wasps in and out, and judging from the numbers they have built a nest.

I'm not alone in having wasps. The good people over at My Zero Waste also have wasps in their compost. There are some helpful (I hope) comments about what to do.
