Jolyon is right about reading / writing being mutually enriching. So don't let your blog fade away, Brodie. Writing can be an effective form of slowed down reflection, self-questioning, exploration of ideas and imaginative thinking, and an exercise in clarifying and editing our thoughts. I also think you are right about blogs being well written - precision of form aids precision of content, quite apart from the aesthetic pleasure of worthwhile things carefully expressed.
