Brodie, we met almost two years ago in Cottiers. I think it was a Pub Theology session with Wes White and Mike Kurtyka. Anyway, I have to agree with your 5th point. I love the feel of the city. I often describe it as a big city that has a "village feel" to it. What other major city could you walk around the city centre and run into people you know?
Regarding the "mix of people" you mentioned, my favorite description of Glasgow is one I heard from George Cooke. He said:

"Glasgow is a place where some are born great; some become great by being here; and some still chuck spears at buses."
