Jinky Johnstone who played for Celtic Football club and was one of the Lisbon Lions died today aged 61.
In a city which is so often divided by football I'm sure fans of both sides of the Old Firm will morn his passing and will be saddened that this great footballer did not receive the rewards that today even the mediocre gain,
While it pains me to say it, I wonder if you're perhaps being a little too generous to the blue nose brigade. I have never understood the sectarian nature of football in the West of Scotland, but it's clear that for many it runs as deep as the "E" through a stick of Edinburgh rock. At work I've seen Rangers fans so staunchly entrenched that they won't even wear a Celtic top for charity as a bit of fun. While some sections of Ibrox support may stretch to being "saddened", unfortunately I think "morn" is probably a step too far for most of them.
