Googled it...

Koalas communicate with each other by making a noise like a snore and then a belch, known as a "bellow"

they growl - much like a snore - very loudly.

they're also permanently drugged from an overdose of eucalyptus - it's a sort of marijuana for koalas. you may choose not to tell your son that.

They can also sometimes sound like a baby crying and their fighting is very noisy screeching.
