Elaine McGregor

In Hong Kong during the summer a man (wish I could remember his name) spoke to us about reconciliation. I was quite deeply moved by what he taught and the experiences he had had when acting upon it. One of the most memorable moments of my later time in Kunming was of one of my team, a 14 year old boy, while doing a trick, offered his apology to the audience for Britain's part in the Opium War. There was a true sincerity both in what he said and in the response of the audience - tears in eye moment. So yeh I agree - 'true reconciliation is a journey that happens between individuals' and one that i believe I, as a Christian, am called to.
