My good friends Nadeem & Shista have many relatives in Pakistan. Most of them are safe, but they have not been able to make contact with Shista's uncle in Islamabad, thus do not know if he is safe or not. While many of us watch the pictures on our TVs with horror and grieve with those who grieve, for Nadeem and Shista and many others in the UK the horror, worry and grief is all too real.
Once again it is the poor who suffer the most. I have a construction back ground and remember saying to Alison when seeing some apartment blocks being built in Nepal that if there was a quake they would collapse very easily. I imagine many of the buildings in the area effected by this quake are of a similar construction.
However, now is not the time for blame but action. It's been a year of many disasters and much giving but lets not become weary in doing good (Gal 6:9). Dig deep and give HERE.
