it's mad

Life continues to be a bit mad at the moment which means I'm short on time for blogging. However two funny stories to share.

I came back to the office this afternoon having been out all day to find a colleague in the street in a bit of a panic. "Your office is on fire"! I ran up the steps to find no actual flames but some smoke, a burning smell and the sound of the fire alarm.

We think my computer monitor "blew up".

My other "exciting" story is from last week when I make a visit to the Babylon of furniture - yes Ikea. I got a book case, it didn't fit in the car so I put it on the roof bars. Unfortunately it had started to rain rather heavily. Nevertheless I merrily made my way back home till driving along the M8 there was a sudden thud on the back window. The box had disintegrated in the rain and the bits of wood for the shelves were falling onto the car and road. Fortunately nothing flew off so it hit any other cars and I was just at a junction where I was able to get off the road and sort things out.

So the moral of this story is don't take Ikea boxes out in the rain!
