Thanks for the plug and also the link to the BBC report. I think regardless of whether there is a link between video games and acts of violence, its a question of what are we feeding the mind and how can we renew the mind (Rom 12:1) and have the mind of Christ (Phil 2:5) if this is what we feed it, so film and tv cannot escape judgment either.


Andy - I agree that in one sense it does not matter that there may be the link the BBC report describes. I think a key thing is to get people thinking about the violence that they encounter in film, TV or game. Is it "just" entertainment or is it actually critiquing violence? Could the same story be told without the violence? Should I be watching this, keep on playing this game?

I think if we can get people asking these questions then together we can learn a new way of thinking. My fear is that most simply acquiesce to the media violence around us as thinking seems too much like hard work!
